laprairie.com.au shop online is a service of La Prairie and David Jones for customers in Australia. David Jones will be handling all aspects of your online order. For more information on processing, shipping and tracking orders, please click on Customer Service.

To inquire about an order or to place an order, you can reach a La Prairie Customer Service representative by phoning 1800 649 849, Monday through Friday, 9.30 AM to 4:30 PM EST. You can also e-mail order related inquiries only to
sales-au@laprairie.com, please include your order reference number. Due to security issues, please do not include credit card numbers in your message.

Because we understand how important both privacy and security are, we would like to assure you that any personal and credit card information included in your laprairie.com.au order is kept confidential - retained only by David Jones and La Prairie. All sensitive information is transferred using advanced SSL encryption technology, protecting you against disclosure to third parties.

We, La Prairie Switzerland, can guarantee the authenticity of all our products only if they are sold by a retailer duly authorized by La Prairie. For e-commerce the only authorized website in Australia is www.laprairie.com.au. This site accepts orders that are sold to you by our authorized retailer, David Jones Limited.


Customer Service

How to Order

We have tried to make shopping online with laprairie.com.au as easy and quick as possible by using shopping cart technology. It allows you to add any product you are interested in to your order by simply pressing a button. Here are instructions on how to order:

  1. Select the quantity of the product you wish to buy. Click the "Add To My Order" button next to the item. You can check the contents of your order and your current total at any time during shopping by clicking the "View My Order" button.
  2. Should you change your mind at any time while shopping, you can switch quantities or delete any item from your order or even cancel the entire order.
  3. When you want to submit your order, click the "Checkout" button from the menu. You'll see the contents of your order with your current total and any additional fees. You have the option to select standard free delivery, or Express Post delivery for an additional cost.
  4. To complete the process, simply click the "Continue Checkout" button, fill out the order form, and click on the "Submit Order" button.
  5. Immediately after you click on the "Submit Order" button you will see an Order Confirmation page that also has your La Prairie order number. Make sure to retain it for future reference, either by copying it down, or by printing this page.
If any of the information you enter is not valid, you will be returned to the order form and asked to correct it. You may also place your order by phoning a customer service representative on 1800 649 849 Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm EST (excluding Public Holidays).

Once your order has been successfully placed, we will send you an email confirming your shipment with an order reference number. Please refer to your La Prairie Order Reference Number when inquiring about an order.

Shipping and Handling

Australia Post will be used for shipping orders complimentary. In extreme cases, this can take up to 5 working days, and up to 7 working days for non metro and interstate deliveries. All parcels will be registered post and traceable.

If you require your order urgently, you may choose to have it sent via the Express Post network. Express post deliveries are guaranteed to be delivered on the next business day, within the Next Business Day network (as advised by Australia Post). The cost for express post will be $14.00. this cost is for a standard 3kg satchel bag sent via the express post network. Maximum weight for express post parcel bags is 3kgs. if you order weighs more than 3kgs, you will be charged accordingly.

Please note: Orders are processed, shipped and delivered on business days only. (Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays). Express Posted orders must be submitted prior to 12.00 noon EST for the express post to be arranged and sent that day.

All orders will be processed within 24 to 48 hours of the order being approved

How to Pay

When you submit your order, you may pay for it with any of the following credit cards:

  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • Diners Club
  • American Express
Unfortunately, David Jones or Shopping Centre Gift cards cannot be accepted.

Due to David Jones store policy, any order placed over the value of $1000 will require one working day for approval.

Eechanges and Returns

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your laprairie.com.au purchase, you may return it and obtain a refund/exchange as long as the products are in original condition. You may bring your product to any David Jones store with the receipt, or send it via a prepaid, insured, traceable method to 86-108 Castlereagh street, Sydney NSW 2000.

Regretfully, return shipping fees are not refundable.

Backorders and Delays

Although we do not foresee any delays, sometimes demand exceeds supply and an out-of-stock occurs. Should this happen, you will be notified of any items that are out-of-stock. We will ship in-stock products immediately and backorder out-of-stock products under your original La Prairie Order Number. Backordered items will be shipped as soon as they become available. You will only be charged for items when they are shipped. The remainder of your order, will be charged when your backordered products are sent.

Information for Customers Outside the United States

David Jones only keeps your order information so that they may contact you concerning your order, as well as improve your overall shopping experience at David Jones unless you opt in to receive ongoing information and offers from La Prairie. This information (with the exception of credit card information) will also be retained by La Prairie for customer service purposes only.
